Apex Tool Group
- Carl Weller a fondé la société Weller Electric à Easton, en Pennsylvanie, en 1945, avec l'invention du pistolet à souder. Il cherchait un moyen de desservir le marché en forte croissance de la réparation radio. Cette invention a été suivie du premier fer à souder en 1950, suivi du premier fer à souder à température contrôlée en 1976.Weller s'est étendu à l'Europe en 1959. Tout au long de son histoire, Weller a continuellement développé des produits tournés vers l'avenir pour les marchés grand public et industriels.
L'engagement de Weller en matière de technologie est mis en évidence par l'équipe de recherche et développement de sept personnes, qui compte de nombreux brevets et récompenses à son actif.
Le centre de formation de l'Université Weller à Apex, en Caroline du Nord, a été créé en 2007. Une formation est dispensée à plus de 100 personnes par an.
